THE INTUS COLOR COLLECTION:
INTUS COLOR (Into the color)
This collection is created from a belief that in difficult times, it is possible to find life and color no matter how dark the time may be, the feelings in the life continuum around me continue.
The colors found in this collection are combination of technology and personal emotions during the moment I’m creating a piece. If, in a specific moment I am experiencing difficult time, I will find the color that brings out the positivism without ignoring the negative emotions. As such, the black spots, lines or blocks are sprinkled as reminder of varying negative moments, however, black will never be the big part represented on a piece, but it can take some importance.
Symmetry also plays an important part on the pieces. Because of my background in architecture, it is important for me to meet geometrical balance and weight across the piece.
My years in Asia visiting China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, India, and my DNA attached to my beloved Mexico make up my color and texture choices to be embedded into each of the pieces.
Intus Color is a work in progress.
Intus Color is a collection of mix media images combining basic extremely digital noise from a small sensor camera, processed and painted with brushes and external softwares.
